# Terms — this export

**Status: the shape is decided; a formal licence text is still to be written.**
Until it is, this file says in plain words what is and is not true today.

## What this is

A record of live music events in Tokyo, read from the venues' own published
pages. Every record names the page it came from and when that page was last
read.

## How far to trust it

Only what a source published is recorded, and a null field is deliberate — it
is never a filler value. Most records are machine-extracted and nobody has
checked them: `counts` in manifest.json gives the split, and `confidence_note`
on each record gives that record's own status. Null usually means the source
did not publish the fact, but not always — the extractor can put a fact in the
wrong field, and what our own check still finds is listed under
`known_defects`. Most coordinates are geocoder output that no person has
confirmed. Nothing here is asserted to be current: `last_checked` is when we
last looked.

## What is not in here

Flyer artwork (the export links to where each flyer lives; it does not
redistribute the images), private hires and rentals, and anything about
individuals beyond the billing a venue itself printed.

## Rights

The facts — that a named act plays a named room on a given night at a given
price — are nobody's to own. The compilation, the schema and the checking work
are ours, and this is how they may be used.

Free for individuals, and free for non-commercial use, with attribution.
Attribute it to “koko!”, with a link back to https://koko.tokyo/.
That is the whole of what is asked in return.

Commercial use, and use by an AI assistant or an API product, is by agreement.
The route is public and open to anyone — ask first; how to reach us is on the
About page, https://koko.tokyo/about/. Say what you want to do and you get a
plain answer; nothing is ruled out before it has been asked about, and the
terms of any agreement are settled in that conversation rather than assumed
here.

## Corrections and removals

If something here is wrong, or you are an artist or venue who wants a record
or an image removed, say so and it comes down. That is not negotiated. How to
